the big room and the big platform
the location, far from the Fira center
The room was cute and tidy, came with everything we needed, and the pool was nice. The free shuttle to the port was also a big plus.
There must have been a miscommunication, but we were supposed to be picked up from the port upon arrival, but were instead left stranded. We had to call the hotel's mobile number when we got there by taxi so they could let us in. And when the owner arrived she had us stay in the hotel down the street for the first night because hers was filled, even though we had the reservation. But everything after this was great. Like I said, miscommunication.
Close to the town. Quiet. Clean. Free pick up from the port.
After arranging our transport to the airport, they messed up the times and we had to take a taxi.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, especially with excursion suggestions and pricing. The location is pretty good, only a short walk up to the main shopping areas of Fira. Wireless access was good, and rides were provided to and from the port (although if you come in on an early morning ferry, be prepared to wait at least until after 7am for the promised pickup with no warning of that wait).
Breakfast was only bread and jam or butter. Our main problem was sleeping since there were two different groups also at the hotel who were extremely loud and up at all hours. I realize that this is not the hotel's fault per se, but do wish that someone had been available at reception to ask them to be quieter and more considerate.
It was a wonderful place to stay with friends. The manager was very kind to us so we had a good time in Blue sky Villa.
good location, got free transfer from and to the port or airport, very cheap!
I was very pleasantely surpised to find very welcoming/smiling/helpful staff. The reviews I read had me worried, but in the end, the staff was the highlight of the place. They even organised a free ride in the morning up the huge hill, which I wouldnt have survived by foot with my super heavy suitcase. It has a nice pool area and the hotel is off the main road, at the end of a little street which is very quiet and has nice views. I only stayed there one night, so the rate was my main motivation to book this place, and I definately recommend it to travellers on a budget looking for great value for money (I paid 30 euros for a single room mid-may).
My single room had 4 single beds, which werent the most comfy, but did the trick for that one night. The remote for the a/c didnt have batteries, and the room got a bit stuffy, even mid-may. I hope they provide the batteries on request, or at least when the weather gets hotter... a lot of people seem to complain about the hike up the hill to reach Fira... It's really not that bad!!!! You're at the very top in less that 10 minutes!!
It's very value for money, and not far from the center of town. The room is comfortable and clean, with small private balcony.
The staff didnt ask us about the way of payment, they just picked the money from my Visa Card automatically when we arrived the hotel, while I really dont like to pay by credit card.
Good value for money - we stayed at the hotel off season and the prices were very reasonable or even cheap.
The hotel advertised that they have free wifi available. They did, however, the signal was very weak most of the time.
Very nice place: room was large and cosy. Beautiful view. The personel was nice and very helpful. We recomended that hotel.
private villa and suitable price.
don't have internet service.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was great. Very close to the center of Fira.
If you love bread you will like the breakfast. Cold cereal and bread.
Clean and comfortable, quiet location. At times a bit noisy when guests close their doors or maybe get blown by the wind when the balcony is open but it wasn't a problem to us. Breakfast was coffee/tea with bread, cereals and juice. There is a hotel bus from the pier as long as you advise them of your time of arrival and departure, i think the hotel will arrange for transportation. We got it free of charge which was great!!! Will stay there again.
It is a nice and cheap little hotel, close to the center and with a sea view, good value for money...
Breakfast definitelly can be improved, tha quality and variety was very poor
The hotel is clean. The beds are good. The price was ok (I was there the last days of Mars). If we want just to sleep it is good but it is not good if we want to spend our time in the rooms/ hotel.
The breakfast is poor. They used the credit card to pay the night I stayed at the hotel before the check out at 12h00. I would have prefered to pay cash. No easy to find, very far from the sea and my room was a interior one. Bad tv images/sound and just greek channels...as far as it was possible to see. If you go to Mykonos has I did directly from Santorini, attention to taverna venezia: too expensive and very bad service! (Exploitation)!
